On August 24th we have TWO competitions you can register for. Please see all competition details below. Details subject to change.

Amateur Mix and Match is limited to 15 leads and 15 follows
Open Couples is limited to 10 couples

If your payment is accepted but we are over the limit then you will be added to a waitlist automatically. We will notify you if you are on a waitlist and refund your money if you end up not getting in the contest.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE

8:30pm: Sign in and check in start. Please note we will open up both competitions for pre-registration and pre-pay. If you do pre-register and pre-pay, you must check in before 9:15pm.

If you do not check in by 9:15pm, TSS reserves the right to allocate your spot to another entry.

9:30pm: Amateur Mix and Match Competition

10:45pm: Open Couples Competition

12midnight: Trophy Presentation

COMPETITION INFO

Amateur Mix and Match

(details subject to change)

• Limited to 15 leads and 15 follows
• You will sign up as an individual, either as a lead or follow
• Competition Registration: $5
• One heat: Will rotate 5 to 7 times
• Each new partner you will dance 1 minute to a song between 130bpm and 185bpm
• Judges score on technique, timing, teamwork, and showmanship
• Judges will rank dancers via relative placement
• Judges will judge you as individual dancers (lead or follow)
• Prizes to top 3 leads and top 3 follows

Open Couples Contest

(details subject to change)

• Limited to 10 couples
• You will sign up with a partner, as a couple. One couple consists of one lead and one follow
• Competition Registration: $15 per couple
• One heat, “Straight to Finals”. One or two all skate warmup songs (150bpm to 185bpm, about 1 minute), then Jam Format with each couple getting spotlight of 8x8s two times (195bpm to 210bpm), once all couples have their two spotlights, will finish any remaining song in all skate
• Judges score on technique, timing, teamwork, and showmanship
• Judges will rank couples via relative placement
• Judges will judge you as couples
• Prizes to top 3 couples

If competition does fill up, we will compile a waistlist on first come/first serve basis.
